NASA is obviously known first and foremost for space exploration (and for helping us win the Cold War, of course). Back in the day, though, NASA didn't just research rocket ships and space flight. They dabbled in all sorts of experiments. While plenty of this old research is still classified, bits of information have leaked over the years.
One of NASA's freakiest experiments of all time is the so-called "NASA Android." While it never made it to full production (for reasons you'll soon see), this hydraulic-powered prototype looks like it's straight out of a freaky science-fiction movie.
