Have you ever listened to someone play the piano and asked the music gods to impart such a gift unto you?
Same. The sad reality is that I'm much better at listening to piano music than I am at playing it. (But if you want to have a "Chopsticks" competition, hit me up so we can throw down.) One thing I am good at, however, is drinking wine. All of the wine.
So you can imagine my excitement when I saw this old piano that got a new lease on life after being turned into a wine bar. By putting it to a use that we can pretty much all get behind, Redditor Fioricascastle officially won the internet.
If this looks like something you'd love to have in your living room (and don't lie, because it does), stay tuned!
Here's the old gal in all her outdated glory. A facelift was clearly in order.
First, he had to gut the piano to create storage space.
He even had to bring out the heavy stuff to get those strings out.
After all of that was taken care of, the keys were put back on because they were clearly too pretty to leave out!
Then he got to work on the shelf.
Perfect for holding bottles, am I right?
You need some glasses to go with those bottles (sometimes), so a rack like this one will do the trick! He found his on Amazon.
He then installed some hardware to turn the glass rack into a retractable drawer.
Let's just take a minute to bask in the beauty of this wine bar in the making. Okay, moving on. The crafter used black felt to create an elegant backsplash.
As if it wasn't already luxurious enough, he and his helpers went ahead and added some LED lights to the mix.
I mean, come on. I need this.
Be still my wine-fueled heart.
