DJ Khaled’s plan to own summer looks like it has shifted to phase two. He just released what’s likely be one of his biggest songs, “For Free,” featuring Drake, and he’s readying his second act already in setting up the release of his new album, Major Key.
Recently in New York, the Snapchat king gathered his friends for the “I Got the Keys” video shoot and, when I say friends, remember that Khaled doesn’t have regular friends like most of us.
The song itself features Jay Z and Future, but it’s the friends who came for cameos that makes the scene pretty impressive. Photos captured Busta Rhymes, T.I., Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, Fabolous, Rick Ross, A$AP Ferg, Yo Gotti, Swizz Beatz and 2 Chainz all gathered, all suited and booted in similar attire. Roc Nation A&R Lenny “Kodak Lens” Santiago shared a photo along with a caption that helps quantify the level of epicness that took place.
Yesterday we pulled off something pretty epic. TRUST ME, it ain’t easy especially getting one of these guys in front of the camera. We have a great song that we needed a strong, compelling visual for. We called a lot of friends to help create a memorable and powerful piece of art. They showed up.. And again, we pulled it off. These 3 guys made magic.
