Speaking from past experience, there's nothing more horrifying than working in retail.
In my head, I clump working retail into the same realm as the service industry, in that employees are expected to bend over backwards for customers that quite frankly treat them like dirt. In my years, I've been spit on, had things thrown at me, and experienced a whole slew of other nonsense that I'd rather not deal with ever again.
It takes thick skin to work in that industry, because for every amazing customer, there's another five or six waiting to rain on your parade. Based on the following retail confessions, these 19 employees feel the same way I do.
The next time you're out shopping, remember to treat people the way you would like to be treated.
